We will be looking at the positive and negative views around conflict. Along with these perspectives we will be exploring the causes of conflict whilst going through understanding the importance of noticing the early signs, addressing these before they escalate.


Module 2:  Explore the 5 Different Ways to Handle Conflict whilst managing the process

Gaining clarity around the 5 different styles of conflict management; and knowing when is the best time to use each style. You will also work through the template that will give you step by step instructions of how to get to the root cause of the conflict.


Module 3: Effective Communication during Conflict

 Exploring Assertiveness Communication skills which include what you say, how you say it, and  the non-verbal messages that you are sending during the intervention. Included in this module is the ability with listen actively without biases,  Remaining neutral without judgement; whilst remaining solution focused.


Module 4:  Paraphrasing and Artful  Questioning Techniques

Ensuring that the meaning of your message is being received the way that you want it to be. Gain Clarity through the Intent and Impact Model.  Along with the coaching technique of asking powerful probing questions to gain more clarity, insights, accountability , ownership and solutions to the existing problems.

Gain commitment  and buy-in  through questioning  instead of telling. Understand what the real issue is and not just the presenting issue.


Module 5:  Setting Expectations and Agreement Frames

Understanding the expectation and  performance gap. Setting realistic expectations, finding solutions when expectations are not met. Using the CPR model to set your expectations. Ensuring that you are addressing the right issue - The saying goes "ït is better to have the wrong solution to the right problem, then to have the right solution with the wrong problem. "

Once expectations are set then it is time to gain agreement and commitment.


Module 6: It is Time to Confront - Have that important conversation

 Being a new leader can have it's challenges. One of these is the fear around confrontation.  Part of leadership is taking ownership and responsibility; ensuring that code of conduct and activities are met within business and teams.
